SHIBARI HASHIRA WORKSHOP
The Hashira is a challenging yet unique experience that requires a lot of skill
Why this course is important
The Hashira is unique in that it is firmly anchored in place.
The freedom enjoyed by the model and the rigger is completely different from rigging to a ring or a bamboo pole.
That is why it is important to teach both the rigger and the model the proper techniques, safety procedures, and protocols.
In this workshop, we focus on both the rigger and the model—something that is unfortunately sometimes overlooked.
Why a private workshop?
Shibari is a technical art, and everyone is at a different level.
In a private workshop, we tailor the experience entirely to your pace, experience, and expectations.
This allows you to learn faster, safer, and with more personalized guidance.
It’s very different from a group workshop, because all the attention is focused on you.
What will you learn?
Safety and Basic Hashira Techniques
The way the uplines are anchored and secured is completely different from how they are attached to a ring or a bamboo pole.
We learn various techniques for creating a safe session
For this workshop, you absolutely need a solid foundation—both the rigger and the model.
Static Hashira
The Hashira requires specialized techniques, body control, and fluidity
We learn everything step by step. Safety and technique are the foundation.
Given this unique approach to shibari, it is possible to create sessions that are deeply powerful and beautiful on an emotional, mental, and physical level.
Dynamic Hashira
The Dynamic Hashira is complex and requires technique, three-dimensional awareness, body control, and speed.
It is very important that you learn all the steps and get the hang of the proper sequence to safely set up a Hashira session.
